Polar Diving Expedition to Greenland
An Ultra-Small Expedition Limited to 12 Divers
9 Days / 8 Nights | June 16-24, 2026
Aboard the Polar Icebreaker M/S Tulu (12 passengers)
Nuuk to Ilulissat, Greenland
The Inaugural Expedition
Be Among the First
Along Greenland’s western coast, organized recreational polar diving has existed only as a concept—spoken about, imagined, but never realized. Until now.
There are no documented dive sites, shipwrecks remain unexplored, and there is no established framework for non-commercial diving operations that exist here. Seven Oceans Expeditions is changing that.
The Journey
This one-way polar diving expedition aboard the 12 passenger M/S Tulu traces Greenland’s dramatic west coast, beginning in Nuuk and concluding in Ilulissat. Operating in a region defined by remoteness and discovery, explorers will navigate deep fjords, iceberg-filled bays, and pristine Arctic waters rich with polar marine life, including whales, seals, and an abundance of other marine wildlife.
Together, the expedition team will explore, identify, document, and geolocate dive sites in this region—many if not all will be dived for the first time—contributing to a new chapter in arctic polar diving.
Highlights
Only 12 divers will accompany the expedition team and crew
We will sail on the M/S Tulu, a former Danish Navy Polar Icebreaker, converted to a polar expedition ship

Expert-led, safety-driven operations throughout
Who This Is For
A core value at Seven Oceans Expeditions is to make diving in polar and frontier environments accessible, safe, and inspiring—turning rare opportunities into rewarding experiences for every diver.
Most experienced divers are welcome, however, and especially for our inaugural polar diving expedition in Greenland, divers should have the following experience:
Advanced Open Water Certification and a minimum of 150 logged dives and 20 successful drysuit dives.
Each diver must own and be proficient using their own dive equipment, drysuit and regulator suitable for cold-water diving.
Experience diving in cold or temperate water temperatures. Water temperatures during the expedition will be as low as 0°C or 32°F.
